This is our opportunity to describe our company
history and philosophy.

A Letter From the owner Marc Duclos
Our company was founded on the premise that we would
continue the long tradition of masonry. I strive for complete customer satisfaction in all aspects of my business.
When decisions have to be made, we work with you and your architect, and the building department to
make the right decision. We are all part of the same team. We want you and or your firm to be satisfied with your new masonry.
My success is based on my experience in the masonry industry since 1979.
I started contracting work in New Hampshire
in 1985. Although we are not a very big company we are able to man your masonry projects with experienced masonry
workers. I use only U.S. citizens. And I am proud to say that hiring men from the local area are welcome
to work on our projects. I have found in my experience that familiarity to the area standards are better served by the native
citizen.
A summary of my experience, I first worked
as a mason tender for Stanly refurbishing the brick and granite veneer at the old Sweeney post on Market Street in Manchester
NH. . As a young man in my early 20,s I was encouraged to learn a trade. When I decided to do so , I found that it was going
to to take a life's long commitment to learn the masonry trade. This commitment provided me with a great education. I then
worked as a concrete form, carpenters helper on the revitalization of the downtown of Manchester NH. in the early 80,s for
Walsh Construction co. on and off for three years. Just in those three years while the project evolved I fond in the
construction trade to keep working and on the same project that the subcontractors would hire trusted men from the area. I
became an iron worker and a mechanical stone mason for Contractors Crane Service. I learned how to tag crains from C.C.S..
My job description was surveying the grid lines for precast stone panels and working with welders and Crane's and
other heavy equipment.
Then came the opportunity to work with Stanly
and the Bricklayers and allied craftsmen local # 6. My apprenticeship with this association took over 6 years. My experience
in the other trades is where I shined in the early days. My time as an apprentice bricklayer working on and off the union
books with the best bricklayers in the state of NH at the time made me appreciate what was expected of me on the the big job. A
lot of the men that were around in those early days are now gone but the tradition will continue with Duclos Masonry. I started contracting work on accusation in 1985 when I could.
I got my first subcontract on the Silver Towers on Silver St. in Manchester, NH. On weekends me and the boys learned
how to build fireplaces and other small masonry items like steps and retaining walls. As an apprentice I was shuned by
the union. So began Duclos Masonry, and I worked for non union mason contractors when I could. I became associated with
local # 6 NH.1986 to 1989. I was retained by GA. Masonry Co. They needed masons that would work every day to build
the Valley St. Jail. This was when Big Frank Minic from Brockton Ma. recognized me as a full journeymen. In June 1989 the now late Frank Minic thanked me and said,
good luck. Then I moved to Haverhill, Ma. and continued to hold onto the idea that working for the union was right for
me. But to work for the union I had to travel, and travel I did. I traveled to Kalamazoo Michigan, Arlington Texas,
lafayette Indiana, Atlanta Georgia, Walton beach Fl. all as a bricklayer during 1989 to 1994. Upon arriving home I registered
Duclos Masonry again and we are also known as Marc Andre Duclos Masonry. With my background in construction since 1979 until
now, I can help you and your firm in a complete project. We have the necessary insurances and the book keeping to keep your
job on budget and on time. Thank you for your consideration on your next project. Marc Duclos
